I would like to share a dream I have with you. My dream is to wipe out cancer. It has taken so many lives including my mom’s and sister’s. So much research is needed to find a cure. Early detection and treatment are doing a great deal to save lives but there are many that can not afford the tests or treatment.

Along with my sister, Joan, my daughter, Jeannetta, and my daughter-in-law, Renee, we have committed ourselves to the Avon Breast Cancer 3 Day walk. Our team is called "The 5 G's". We will raise money to help women detect and survive breast cancer. We all can help save lives.

The walk is August 2-4, 2002. We will walk 60 miles from Boulder to Denver, Colorado along with 3000 other committed people working to change the world.

We have each pledged to raise $2000.
